If you believe the universe gives you signs, then perhaps an e-mail from Curt Cameruci/Flosstradamus saying that he just created an exclusive edit of your first remix is a sign that you’re probably on the right career path. That’s exactly what happened in to the, then, 19 Year-Old Christian Colón, who was soon bumping to his remix of Jason Derulo’s “Wiggle” on Floss’s BBC Radio 1 set. Since then, the New York City native, who goes by the name EXSSV (pronounced excessive), has been setting the EDM world ablaze with his remixes & originals. EXSSV’s first single “Starstruck” on Buygore Records (a collaboration with Trap stalwarts Styles & Complete and rapper Crichy Crich) rocketed to a million streams in less than a month immediately catching the attention of heavy hitters such as The Chainsmokers, Carnage, & the head honcho himself Borgore. Shortly after, Steve Aoki invited him to drop his new material on Dim Mak. His first release for Dim Mak was “Hangover” which reached the number 3 spot on Beatport and garnered over 400,000 plays on Soundcloud. EXSSV’s next single for Dim Mak - "Upper" clocked in at 1.3 million combined Spotify and Soundcloud plays. This success led to EXSSV being asked to work on an exclusive Steve Aoki curated fitness playlist project with Gatorade & Spotfy called "Gatorade Amplify." The artist for the project was credited as the Dim Mak All-Stars and EXSSV contributed 6 of the original 15 songs.
